Ceetron is a software company that was originally a spin-off from Sintef Industrial Mathematics in 1996. The company develops and sells software for 3D visualization of complex models within industrial applications (so-called CAE = Computer Aided Engineering). The company has international customers such as Ansys, Autodesk, BMW, Dassault Systems, DNV GL and SAP. The sale to Tech Soft 3D means that Ceetron's products will reach a broader international market and becomes part of an ambitious effort to build a world-leading software company within 3D engineering applications. Tech Soft 3D has the American PE-fund Battery Ventures as their main owner.

"Ceetron has used Impello as financial advisor on several occasions and they know our company very well. When we received interest for an acquisition from Tech Soft 3D (backed by the US PE-fund Battery Ventures), Impello was hired to guide us through the process. Impello has assisted with valuable advice and assistance related to valuation, price negotiations, financial DD, process management, etc. They provide high quality services and have shown great flexibility and a high level of service in a highly important and demanding process. The sellers are very happy with the result of the process »
